Privacy Policy

OnGate ("we", "us") is operated by EOI Digital Limited. It helps you work out exactly when to leave for your flight. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

1. Information you provide

• Account details — if you create an account: your email, first and last name, country, an optional phone number, and a password. Passwords are stored securely by our authentication provider; we never see them in plain text.
• Trip details — where you're leaving from (an address you type or pick, or a map pin), your airport, where you're flying to, your flight number or departure time, and whether you're checking bags.
• Feedback — optional ratings after a trip, including how far off our leave time was, and any comment you add.
• Airport requests — the airport you ask us to add and any note you include.
• Profile photo — optional; stored with our storage provider and deleted when you remove it or delete your account.
• Booking scans — the photos, screenshots or PDFs you choose when you scan a booking, used only to read the flight and hotel details (see section 4).

2. Information collected automatically

• An anonymous ID — created when you first open OnGate so the app works without an account.
• Location — only if you allow it, and only when you tap "current location" or move the map pin, to work out the route from where you are to the airport. You can always type an address instead.
• Trips you calculate — the departure airport, departure time and whether the flight is international, stored with your ID to provide the service.
• Reminders — on the website, your browser's push address and the reminder times you set, so reminders can reach you when the page is closed. In the phone apps, reminders are scheduled on your device only.

3. How we use your information

• To calculate leave times, routes and costs, and show your results.
• To send the reminders you ask for, re-checking the leave time with live traffic before some of them.
• To improve our time estimates using feedback.
• To operate accounts and answer support requests.

4. How information is shared

We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising or tracking. We share only what each service provider needs to run OnGate:

• Supabase — our database, sign-in and server functions.
• Google Maps Platform — routes and travel times, address suggestions, turning addresses into map positions, and maps. Your starting point, airport and the addresses you type are sent to Google for this.
• Open-Meteo — the weather forecast, using the airport's location only.
• AeroDataBox — flight details when you enter a flight number.
• Vercel — hosting for our website and web app.
• OpenAI — booking scans. The files you choose are sent to OpenAI's AI to read the flight and hotel details in real time.
• Your browser's push service — (Google, Mozilla, Apple or Microsoft) to deliver web reminders.

These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms.

If you scan a booking, the photos, screenshots or PDFs you choose are sent to OpenAI, whose AI reads the flight and hotel details in real time. OpenAI does not use them to train its models. We do not store them: the files are not kept on our servers, in our database or in our logs.

5. Data retention and deletion

• We keep your account, trips, feedback and reminders while you use OnGate.
• Calculated results, including the route's start point, are kept on our servers for up to about a day after your trip so we can show them again quickly. They are not linked to your account.
• Trips you save or view recently are stored on your device.
• You can delete your data at any time in the app: Settings, then Delete account (or Delete my data if you never created an account). This removes your data from our systems and clears it from the device. You can also ask us to delete it: see ongate.app/delete-account.

6. Your choices

• Decline location access and type an address instead.
• Edit your profile, or delete your account and data, in the app.
• Turn individual reminders off in Settings, then Reminders, or turn notifications off in your device settings.

7. Children

OnGate is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

8. Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) and database row-level security. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time and will revise the "last updated" date above.
