Privacy Policy

OnGate ("we", "us") helps you work out exactly when to leave for your flight. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

1. Information you provide

• Account details — if you create an account: your name, email, an optional phone number, and a password. Passwords are stored securely by our authentication provider; we never see them in plain text.
• Trip details — the airport, flight number or time, and origin you enter to calculate a leave time.
• Feedback — optional ratings and comments you submit after a trip.

2. Information collected automatically

• Location — only if you grant permission, and only to estimate travel time from where you are to the airport. You can decline and type an address instead.
• Usage — the trips you calculate, used to provide the service and to count usage for any free-tier limit.

3. How we use your information

• To calculate leave times and show your results.
• To send the on-device "time to leave" reminder when you ask for one.
• To improve our time estimates using aggregated feedback.
• To operate accounts and, where applicable, manage purchases.

4. How information is shared

We do not sell your data. We share only with the service providers needed to run OnGate:

• Supabase — backend, database and authentication.
• Google Maps Platform (Routes) — to estimate drive and transit times; your origin and destination are sent to compute a route.
• AeroDataBox — to look up flight details when you enter a flight number.

These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms.

5. Data retention and deletion

We keep account and trip data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete account, which removes your account and associated data from our systems.

6. Your choices

• Decline location access and enter an address manually.
• Edit your profile or delete your account in the app.
• Turn reminders off in your device settings.

7. Children

OnGate is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures including encrypted transport and database row-level security. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time; we will revise the "last updated" date above.
